Recent Projects: DTC CrossFit

The project was a fresh rebuild for the urban crossfit brand’s Denver location. A lot of time went into thinking about which animation would be best applied where. As the user scrolls down the page and is presented with new content, the important content moves to catch the eye. I used an animation.css library to quickly add the animations to the site.

The client wanted to have a workout of a day, and custom post types were the perfect solution for this challenge. Strategically keeping some of the text and elements hardcoded, I provided the client with a few choices for ACF field sections to fill out so they could customize as needed. The end result was a nice, clean template that the client can control without breaking up the design flow.

A hero template was created, which the client can customize as much as they want without making unintentional adjustments to the overall design. The background image is a custom field which the client can use to update the look of the site without asking for developer help. The gradient color was placed in the SCSS so that it persists with the new images.
